How did you start in graphic design?
I have a good background in designing since when I was a kid. As time goes by, and I was hired as a Marketing Executive in a coffee shop I had a chance to worked closely with our graphic designer and eventually learned. So now I decided to pursue my career in graphic design.
Who taught you drawing or graphic design?
It’s a self-taught, since my interests in drawing and designing was there already. But to be a graphic designer is another thing for me and that is what I am going to pursue it.
Who inspires you to continue your passion for graphic design?
My family and my passion.
What does people say on your sketches?
Every time I hear this question there is only one person who pop out in my mind, my father.
“Kapag sa una wala kang maintindihan, pero pag nilalagyan niya na ng outline gumaganda bigla” that’s how my father criticizes my artwork.
What's your favorite subject to draw?
I must say one of my strength is Anime. It suits to my style.
What did you do in your spare time?
Surfing on the internet and searching new ideas that will help me to be more productive.
What is the weirdest thing you've done for your designs?
Probably, one of the weirdest thing I did was when I used to paint a girl with splatter paint hair.
What is one of your biggest accomplishments as a graphic designer?
Biggest? When I worked with Australian company and some of my designs are patronizes in different country. But I don’t consider them as accomplishments. Maybe I just have a very high standard when it comes to design.
Where do you see yourself a few years from now?
A few years from now I hope my business will become a successful and be recognize in the Philippines.
What can you say to young ones out there who have talents in drawing and graphic design?
All I can say is, take the ride and go for it. Be adventurous and aggressive.
Based on your experience, what are the struggles of graphic artist today?
Based on my experiences, I’ve been struggling on how can I improve my designs and be better than to other artists. But the good thing is I learned that there is always a room for every talent you just have to take a leap of faith, patience, and determination.
What is the most important achievement you've attained because of graphic designing?
The money? Lol, let’s face it. Graphic design is not cheap and it shouldn’t because my designs are the reflection of my character.
